EntiTEA, PersonaliTEA, SanctiTEA, AffiniTEA!! Its "Passion My Cup Of Tea"

These are the words attached to this small cafe at Anupam Saket, Delhi.

Spread over around 400 sq ft, this small cafe is a blissful place for all those who wish to be close to the crowd and at the same time be lost in the greenery that surrounds it. The green catchy theme reflecting the green space of nursery is there to soothe your eyes..

Like some special people, some places too click at the very first instance; so it happened with me & Passion My Cup Of Tea!

The place hasn't got its share of Media buzz, but the late night weekend crowd is sure a proof of its popularity. The staff is casual and yet caring, they work not like mere workers but asif they own the place. Responsibility reflects in their demeanor. So, if you want a break from the plastic smiles (or no smiles) & robotic service of CCDs and Baristas of the world this place is for you.
Give a shot to their sandwiches and brownies if you need some grub along with your special cup of tea... Oh as I write this I so much wish to be sitting there, sipping my cuppa tea... :(

If you re one of those who don't follow tried and tAsted routes and love experimenting.. the variety here will never disappoint you. From the authentic Nilgiri, Darjeeling, Chamomile to their Chocotea, masala iced tea everything is worth a try!

And the best part is that it is all priced pretty reasonably... :)

The music will vary from old classics of eighties to contemporary music.... although the music is soothing to ears their sound system certainly needs a change; the speakers are not powerful enough..

So next time you're around early for your evening movie show @ PVR Saket (the seating is outdoor hence is not suggested for summer noons) try the following at Passion:

Must try: Darjeeling Tea pot, (sufficient for 2, my personal favourite)
Masala Chai ( this one is authentic masala chai unlike the tea-bag chais served at CCD)
Masala iced tea (another innovative attempt by Passion tea people)

Other USP
Passion Merchandise ( teas, tea pots and cups)

Passion is sure my cup of tea... :)

Love in the ruins...Hauz khas Complex

Many a love stories have begun with me… many more will come alive..
Your love adds colour to me .. violet, blue, yellow, red and saffire..
Come add music to my life as I give a place for you to hide..
Come.. eat, sing and laugh with me… through you I live my youth & my life

Hauz khas ruins complex is a part of deer park and is surrounded by hauz khas enclave,Greenpark and Safdarjung enclave.

Taking you back in history the place was built in 13th century and was a part of second medieval city of Delhi sultanate. To meet the water requirements Allauddin Khilji excavated the Hauz which later came to be known as “Hauz Khas”, hauz for tank/lake and khas for royal. The complex houses Firoz Shah’s tomb, madrassa and a mosque along with the royal tank. That’s enough of a flash back into the history for more of such drab information you may visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hauz_Khas_Complex

The complex is probably one of the most obscure places in Delhi, only famous amongst designers, foreigners and the likes of it for its elegant stores, boutiques, antique shops and great restaurants. As for me this place is perfect to watch the sun slowly hide behind the earth for its slumber. The dilapidated 13th century structure along with young love budding in its nooks and crevices, gang of college students smoking and juxtaposing them other health freaks jogging by the lake side, vying to reduce that extra centimeter - makes it a beautiful play of human emotions, priorities, nature and time…

My idea of enjoyment at this place is a cup of tea along with Wai-Wai cup noodles, a great company and some good photography..
